Magic Balloons…

I like the name that Antonio has chosen for this book. There isn’t a better way to describe these big and beautiful craft.

The onlookers at the launch of a balloon enjoy a magical experience when they watch the contents of a small bag grow and blossom into an enormous inverted tear drop.

There is more magic as with just a few puffs of hot-air this giant starts to climb away, the watchers on the ground slowly becoming ant-sized from the perspective of the few fortunate enough to have been chosen to rise to the cloudsin the balloon’s woven basket.

Magic is seen in the colours of the aerostats as they float serenely across the skies.

But to me the greatest moment is when the balloon gently touches down after an inspirational journey that has been shared with friends who are starry-eyed from the wonder of their first flight.

Now that is magic
